Tanya Carlson is an experienced business and operations management professional with over 15 years of leadership experience in the tourism and service industries. She has built a reputation for driving operational excellence, improving business performance, and developing efficient systems that support sustainable growth.

Prior to moving from Canada to Turks and Caicos in 2008, Tanya worked for a heavy equipment dealership buying and selling heavy equipment.  While a very different industry, the knowledge continues to carry forward in business and understanding.

Throughout her career, Tanya has successfully managed all facets of business operations, including strategic planning, finance, human resources, work permit administration, stakeholder relations, and team leadership. During her tenure at Big Blue Collective in Providenciales, she played a key role in expanding the company from 12 employees and four boats to a thriving operation with 35 employees and nine boats, while maintaining high standards of customer service and operational efficiency.

As the owner of Taking Care of Business, Tanya now provides bookkeeping and human resources services to local businesses, helping clients streamline their operations, maintain financial accuracy, and build strong administrative foundations. Her practical approach, attention to detail, and commitment to client success have made her a trusted partner for businesses seeking reliable operational support.

Tanya holds diplomas in Finance and Marketing from the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology (NAIT) and is also a PADI Master Scuba Diver Trainer (MSDT). She combines strong business acumen with exceptional organizational and leadership skills, making her passionate about helping businesses grow, operate efficiently, and achieve lasting success.
